i wonder what the average frank thinks of this.
it's an error to place culpability for this on french citizens, just as it's erroneous to place blame for american adventures on the average US citizen. the governments of nearly all countries are now controlled by monied interests, and a few select parasitic nation-states.

of course, makes sense, France is already having problems with lunatic islamic radicals that riot at the drop of a burka in their country, why not contribute to the unrest in syria so the taliban who have infiltrated into syria can spread more islamic strife. All in the name of humanity of course...even if you have to ignore the atrocities the so called freedom fighters have committed. Of course everyone knows only mean evil bashar is the only one killing the civilians and those heavy weapons wi More..

"Is bashar ready for the might of the west?" What kind of stupid statement is that? lol Let the french grow a set of balls before they threaten anyone with military force. As for supplying the terrorists of Syria with heavy artillery go ahead. This will give the green light for Russia or Iran to supply Assad with more destructive weapons.

How can the french ban the burka in france but actively support the encroachment of sharia and islam on another country?
Western governments and the hypocrits who run them.
Time for more civil wars closer to home with some "ethnic" cleansing maybe??

Russia is not going to just sit back and do nothing, this will raise the stakes and the Russians will inject more copters, more tanks, more bmp's, more guns and ammo and Artillery and rocket batteries, wait and see. Proxy war is afoot.

No they won't. They just ceased weapons sales and shipments to Assad and the Iranians. They can read the writing on the wall as well as anyone...

Yes they have suspended new arm shipments. Russia will still send weapons under the existing contracts. If France decided to arm the rebels with heavy artillery then Russia will have the green light to provide the Syrian army with more weapons. Russia won't just sit idle and see the rebels be armed to give them an advantage.

Whats Russia going to do in the face of millions of rebels? Send in 250 elite gangsters like Iran has done?
OOPS the FSA caught 48 of them already and they likely killed the rest, unless they are hunkered down in some shit hole.
Anyways the news "FANCE" is helping is bad news for the FSA, they are screwed now.

Ah no, they will send more air assets as an example to Syria for them to use to crush the rebels. Russia will never send a single soldier to get involved in this conflict nor will the Americans/Nato. As for the 48 Iranians hostages, their is no proof they were there to fight. I believe couple of them had died already from shelling. Anyways this will be a long long fight my friend, just make sure stock up on popcorn and enjoy the show.

i wonder if you will be able to sustain your morgue humor when the bombs and guerrilla maneuvers and death squads are on the outskirts of your town. as the commotion gets closer...
there is horror being visited upon humans in the world, and you have a privileged front row seat to the mayhem, but as any boxing fan knows, with the ring side seat comes the risk of the fight landing in your lap.

First off, it is a Russia Today report (typically alarmist), so your feverish dreams for a western intervention that will leave rainbows and butterflies in Syria are probably misguided.
Besides, France's hawkish rhetoric under Sarkozy and now under Hollande is rather funny because all the lofty humanitarian language cannot detract from the fact that they neither have the capacity to engage in a long-term intervention and nor do they really have a real say on affecting changes on the ground (wh More..
