UK man caught growing £124,000 of cannabis plants escapes jail

A CANNABIS grower caught with plants potentially worth more than £124,000 in Aberdeen has today avoided jail.

Adrian Conn, 42, honed his technique for growing the Class B drug over a period of 10 years.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court today heard police found 138 plants in a specially set up room when they searched his flat.

Fiscal depute Anne Macdonald said: “If they had reached maturity they could potentially have been valued from £34,500 to £124,200.”
