Magnetic levitation != "anti-gravity".

@passive_observer
love the "not equal" relational operator.

@passive_observer They got anti-gravity technology, but they still use a camera from the 80's.

@passive_observer not magnetic levitation but is actually superconductor and it's a quantum effect that allows the superconductor to be locked within a field at any angle/position.
Very neat stuff.

NOT anti-gravity. I forget how to explain it, but I assure you gravity is NOT being manipulated here.

Awesome. Now make one big enough to hold people and lets use it for transportation.

@dirtbiker201 the aliens already use earths magnetic field to travel around.

@Poutso no it wont be.. you would have to make roads out of neodymium magnets, then create your vehicle out of super conducting material made from sapphire's then keep them cool at -330F +-40.. And then, the vehicle would weigh to much alone to support itself let alone passengers.

@Poutso Perhaps. It will depend on cash flow

I'll agree with two of your points, but lame? How so? This is cutting edge tech here.

@spin467 What I meant by lame was putting the wrong title just to attract views, not the chemical reaction, that's cool.

What a dumb, sensationalist title. Antigravity would imply removing physical mass from an object - literally, preventing the force of gravity from acting on that object in any way. Although the magnet is suspended by targeted magnetic fields, it is still acted upon by gravity, there is simply an attainable equilibrium between the magnetic forces and the gravitational forces that is above the surface of the magnets themselves.
Cool demonstration, just a little bone to pick.

@DarkSim I think something like "magnetic levitation" might be OK, but I agree that this has nothing to do with gravity.

@Pararox Not removing the mass persay, but inhibiting the coupling between Higgs field and the matter. No Higgs field interaction and gravity has does no effect the matter. I wonder if you remove the coupling would it also remove inertia...? If so... Warp Speed Mr Sulu.

"Anti-gravity is the idea of creating a place or object that is free from the force of gravity. It does not refer to the lack of weight under gravity experienced in free fall or orbit, or to balancing the force of gravity with some other force, such as electromagnetism or aerodynamic lift." -Wiki
As such, this is not anti-gravity, this is just magnetic levitation.

@DarkSim Made of gold and saphire crystals, suspended in air only by magnets? Only for the super rich my friend, only bought by them.

@Username1234 Perhaps.
But by then the super rich would be too busy trying to get these vehicles off the market, or trying to find flaws with this, because gas/oil will have become obsolete (for vehicles); which in turn would cause them to go from 'super rich' to super poor.
