Some of this technology is better than bone and flesh human parts. He should not be allowed to compete.

@Flash_Back ...yea, imagine boxing against a man with no hands wearing prosthetic knuckles! They better figure out where to draw the line with this.

In my opinion (for what its worth) he does have some advantages over the others. He has more efficient oxygen delivery and less muscles to tire out. No hamstring issues, along with foot trouble. In many ways he does have advantages over other athletes. That being said he go's through life with his handicap and is making the best of it. I have a lot of respect for his fortitude.

@golambretta It does indeed look as if he has a leg up on the situation..

@golambretta ...he is also lighter by at least 15-20 lbs but he has less stability so ... its a complex assessment, at best.

I will have to agree with you. I admire the hell out of him and I will even give him the greatest athlete in the world award but if any other person was to strap on a springy device to their legs they would be laughed out of the olypics. Same thing with K.C. Martin in golf. Should not be aloud to participat if you can't walk. Not being mean, just following the rules.

Saw the race this afternoon and apparently there is some problems with the other runners saying the spring action of the legs(feet actually) gives him an advantage.
Awww, he's got more balls then all of them combined.Let the guy run for christs sakes. Or better yet, lets make it fair and cut all their legs off.;)

Why the fuck do these imbeciles insist on filming a television with a camera phone? It boggles the mind.

@torgis Few people have the right video capture hardware so they use what they have available. At least they aren't shaking the damn camera all over the place.

Please tell me this was an exhibition and he isn't in the Olympics. It is clearly a mechanical advantage. Glad he is kicking ass but wtf.

People with prosthetic legs shouldn't be allowed to race against those who are all natural. It's an advantage, not a hindrance.

Those legs have been proven to give a pretty decent advantage. My understanding was that you couldnt actually use those in competitive running due to the advantages. Apparently not.

Certain ones can give you massive boosts to stride length if that's what you mean. But I assume they make him wear ones that fall under a certain specification so that he doesn't have a stride bonus. I would LOVE to have a pair of those bad larrys though if I ever lost my legs. I could be a couple inches taller and more faster HAHAHAHAHA
