Note in the views which look end-on to the Betty bombers, there's a single set of stubby wings seemingly attached to the underside of the fuselage. Well, that's an Ohka suicide-bomber slung from the bomb bay. It's a small rocket-powered aircraft designed to suicide crash into enemy ships, primarily.
This footage would have been most likely shot toward the very end of the war, in early- to mid-1945. Hard to say what model American fighter was doing the shooting, but it most likely was a Hellcat More..

This footage would have been most likely shot toward the very end of the war, in early- to mid-1945. Hard to say what model American fighter was doing the shooting, but it most likely was a Hellcat or Corsair, but possibly a Mustang. And naturally, the ammo was .50 cal, but there seems to have been little if any incendiary rounds in the belts. Either that, or these were possibly late model Betty's with self sealing fuel tanks, and/or some armor protection."
