(January 25th, 2012) Raw nighttime aerial footage and witness testimony from building collapse in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that claimed the lives of 5 people. The death toll is expected to rise. (Updated news story below, read further in link. Updated Jan. 26th)
Brazil (CNN) -- Brazilian rescue workers dug through rubble in search of survivors Thursday morning, hours after three buildings collapsed in the historic center of Rio de Janeiro, Mayor Eduardo Paes told reporters. Nineteen people were still missing, Paes said, and five people had been rescued with injuries.
Five bodies have been recovered, CNN affiliate Band TV reported Thursday, but it was not known if they were among those reported missing. (Click news link for further info:Updated)
