Codiac R.C.M.P. responding to a call at 2505 Mountain Road for a shooting around 2:20 P.M. this afternoon. Police blocked off Mountain Road completely by the Casino and where the Hotels start on the other side of the apartment building where shooting took place. A Officer rushed a woman away from the scene ,while Firefighters and Ambulance staged awaiting the OK from Police to enter the area to get the victim of the shooting. Paramedics and Firefighters rushed inside the building and with in a couple of minutes came out the of building with the Male that had been shot by what could be a 9 mm. Many other R.C.M.P. arrived on scene and set up a perimeter around the building that is in between Holiday Inn and Country Inn Hotels and were telling people to stay inside and to stay away from the windows. Police were going to evacuate the building into the Holiday Inn, but a witness told Police they seen 2 men exiting the building from a stairway. Police Dog was called in and arrived a short time later. Description of the shooter ,skinny male ,short hair, dressed all in black. Police are trying to get video from the surrounding Hotels to see if it caught the shooter entering the building. Around 3:30 P.M. traffic once again started to flow on Mountain Road, but Police were still blocking people from entering the parking lot at the apartment building where shooting took place.
