Moncton Fire responded to a natural gas leak on Milner Road around 3 P.M. this afternoon. Enbridge gas was already on scene and you could smell the gas from a couple of blocks away and just a few meters from Bessborough School where there were many children outside playing. Firefighters stood by while workers try to stop the leak. Gas was spraying into the air and a very strong smell in the road construction area. A worker dug around the leaking pipe and was able to shut off the leak a few minutes later.
