Europe - Federal Superpower or Breakup?
Loading the player ...
Europe's economic crisis has pushed its governments further and faster down the road of economic integration than many might have expected. But it is also raising serious questions about countries' individual powers and identity. At a time when the people of Europe say they have never trusted the EU less, what is the European Union's ultimate goal - to be a federal super-state or a looser union based on common economic goals?

The USA is more likely to break up than Europe ever getting together.

@A_rabidus_vita Agreed, the whole premise of the EU is flawed. The UK will leave the EU the moment it is put to a referendum. As stated today in Die Welt; 'the EU without the UK is like a knife without a blade'.

They are "obliged" to join the eurozone eventually though. Whether that will happen or not I don't know.

@mrskin The British people voted for that, but that led to the whim of career politicians to lead us into the loss of sovereignty without any recourse. What the UK needs to do (and someone with balls needs to do it) is to draw a line and state our demands on what we will accept and not accept.

We don't want this union, we don't want that flag or a new anthem. We want a referendum on membership to the EU and when it comes we will opt to leave.

I envy the Brits and the Swiss. They were smart enough to at least not adapt the Euro. However, people in Germany and many other countries were never asked if they wanted it or not, because the politicians knew they didnt want it. Now look what has become of us... the EU(SSR)s money machine... Idiotic EU laws are being adapted and only make it worse.
I really hope this is over soon. But I doubt it. Those corrupt pieces of shit know very well how to make the suffering very long.

The Great European Cattle drive is a well timed take down of sovereign states into a European Superstate. The heads of each state are in on it. They purposely borrow more money than they could possibly repay so each nation has hooks in them, dragging them towards insolvency. Once bankrupted, they will have no say in their future and will have to be run by administers from the Superstate because the people are to immature to run their own affairs.
The bankers have always pulled this shit on the p More..

Only a matter of time. Europe needs to be able to compete with the other federations and bric nations.
Give it 100 years and you wont recognise the political scene.
