This footage was just released. It shows the brutal murder of a homeless man in January 2008 in a suburb of Moscow.
The homeless man, "Alexei", was from Belarus and had moved to Moscow to be with his brother. He ultimately ended up on the streets after not being able to find work, and resorted to bottle collection and panhandling for money.
Four teens and a 25yr-old adult were out drinking tha More..t one night in January and came across Alexei in a park. They recorded his beating and murder, even though one of the guys in the footage can be heard saying "there's no need for that (hitting him with the bottles)".
It was awhile later that one of the teens got involved in a robbery and the police had confiscated his phone and the video file was still in the phone's memory.
They realized that this video showed the murder of an unsolved murder case.
Alexei's body was exhumed for the trial.
The teens will all be sentenced for murder.
