    • @Plox - He most certainly is not right. By his standards, we would all still be traveling by horse drawn carriage. Jr. is the most delusional politician I've ever seen, next to Quadafi. It astonishes me that people continue to vote for him.

  • The government rarely does anything efficiently nor is it cost effective.

    Why on god's green earth would we let our jobs, ideas or wealth be managed by government? How has that worked out?

    I think Jesse needs a different tact....as the Buggy Whip manufacturers have proved him wrong a 100+ years ago.

    Education = knowledge = jobs = experience = ideas = propserity

    Therefore Jesse.....I recommend you focus on getting community involved , families involved, in improving your constituents educat More..

  • I don't get it, is he suggesting that we tax apple or any corporation for their innovation and technological progress, simply because it results in job loss? Like TrainedWreck said, is he suggesting we ban U.S. companies from outsourcing?

    How about creating a business climate that can let American companies compete. Lower corporate tax rates, and tax goods that come from China.

  • He was using the iPad as an analogy, an example of one piece of technology that has eliminated jobs, and will continue to eliminate jobs. He could just as easily used the Kindle or the Sony Reader, but who's really heard of those? His message was that we're losing jobs faster than they're being created. I normally wouldn't waste my time on this type of post, but it's humorous how most of you righties want to nitpick every little thing any Democrat says. You want to take it out of it's intended c More..

    • @Charley572 I agree, used as example. I wonder though, why people in the land of capitalism are upset with the direction the U.S. is going with its capitalistic ways. Upset about outsourcing? Its the capitalist way. Upset about a person creating a device that puts hundreds of thousands out of work but makes them a millionaire? Its the capitalist way. The day you say "You cannot outsource" and "You cannot make this new device that puts Americans out of jobs" is the day Capital More..
