ThinkProgress
has obtained an internal memo from Premiere Radio Networks listing 96
national companies that have “specifically asked” their advertisments
not be played during the Rush Limbaugh Show. Permiere is the distributor
of Limbaugh’s program. The advertisers have also requested to be
excluded from other right-wing hosts including Michael Savage, Glenn
Beck and Sean Hannity. According to the memo, the listed companies’
advertisements should be excluded from these programs because they have
been “deemed to be offensive.”
The existance of the memo was first reported over the weekend by Radio-info.com, an industry newsletter. Radio-info did not publish the full list of companies. The memo was posted website of the Traffic Directors Guild of America,
an association of professionals who distribute paid advertisements to
radio stations. The memo was quickly deleted but ThinkProgress obtained a
copy from a Google snapshot of the site taken on March 9.
Previously, ThinkProgress has reported that 50 companies
requested their advertising be pulled from the Rush Limbaugh show
following his sexist attacks on Sandra Fluke. The publication of the

A Republican on Rush

Bullshit. The leftist glee over this is laughable. Rush is still hugely successful and there's been a backlash against those who dumped him now on a national level. On a local level he's in hundreds of markets so those affiliates if they lose a single advertiser each it could amount to hundreds but it's chump change.
Rush fans ain't falling for this, they know the clowns objecting to him now are the same people who opposed him all along, it's all about politics and his remarks are just an oppor More..

@dorbie if you mean " huge backlash " and "rush fans " of 30 people, you can sit back and listen to him on the underground network, since no one with any signs of intelligence will listen to him. .. ( tinfoil hats included to his subscribers )

@echo4250 Not my idol. You're too bitter and foolish to realize that you're the irrational one with a mind filled with poison. Let's see with time whether your silly assertions bear fruit.

@mannixxx The biggest objection you have to Rush is he has a huge audience of passionate listeners. Do not then deny the obvious simply because it is an inconvenient truth that undermines your agenda.
Google carbonite backlash and learn what's really going on.

Just another distraction to take your mind off of the REAL issues this election year. This whole thing was orchestrated, Rush isn't a stupid man.

@radiofreak 16 trillion in debt. last month was the largest debt in the history of the world, G8 pulled out of Chicago because of fears of what happened in 1968 happening again (and it will), but let's talk about how many abortions 30 year old Sandra gets each year.

I don't like Rush. I find him arrogant and extremely narcissistic, but this seems ridiculous.
Sandra Fluke is a tool and her speech made her sound like a slut who was spending more time on her back than in the classroom.
Limbaugh should have known better than to use the kind of language on the air, but this is just stupid.

141 companies don't like him either. With that many, something is surely wrong with Rush's business.

LOL, people are giving me thumbs down. What's wrong? Capitalism isn't working? Sure, it is working just fine. The big companies cannot afford to lose money on a show that puts out a bad taste and turns off its listeners. 10 million listeners!

@Rhemis They're all yapping over the "backlash"to Carbonite.Evidently Rush's listeners aren't even smart enough to pick a winner at online back up services.Out of the top 10 online back up services.Carbonite is dead last at dependability.

I'm just curious....haven't looked into it. But, how many of these 141 companies would never advertise with him anyway? Just companies that want to get their name in the lineup.

Either it's a stolen internal memo, and that is a felony, or it's a lie. Most likely the latter. The Left has a long history of empty threats of boycotts and the "Risk management" lawyers are all Leftists and support Leftist causes.

ThinkProgress has a long history of posting fake documents, from anonymous sources that it has no idea, or so it claims, who they are. It does no vetting or checks for accuracy. It is just a phoney internet dropbox for the Left to post lies so they can point to it and say "It's on the internet, so it must be true".
I am sure George Soros finances it, as usual with all shit sites like it.

Not sure how the network feels about it, but I sure as hell don't give a shit; I don't listen to the guy to hear the advertisements.
But, business is business (even in the world of closet-liberals), and if they want to can his ass, I have no problem with that either.....it's not like he's going to disappear. He'll immediately be picked up by some other entity and increase their listenership by a million fold.
And, more conservative (and rational) businesses will fill in the void created by the c More..

@echo4250 You have an agenda that has nothing to do with this controversy other than using it as an opportunity. Everyone sees this now. You need only listen to one of his broadcasts to confirm he still has advertisers. There's a backlash against the companies who fell for your left wing campaigning. Rush's old advertisers are coming back and new ones are now on board. You're only fooling yourself if you think Rush is going anywhere.
