  • What stupid fucking questions from these idiot anchors. If they ever come to the US, they should apply to Fox Noise Channel.

    Quotes:

"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his own creation."
    Albert Einstein

"It is said that men may not be the dreams of the Gods, but rather that the Gods are the dreams of men."
    Carl Sagan

"Religions are all alike - founded upon fables and mythologies." Thomas Jefferson

    "Being a Humanis More..

    • Most of those quotes are about religion, not God.

"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings."
      - Albert Einstein

    • Read those quotes again. They include religion and God.

Einstein didn't beleive in a personal God, like most people do. Ask anyone who believes in a God and 99.99999% of them beleive God is monitoring them in some way and they will either be rewarded or punished after they die. Hardly anyone of faith, beleives in a "Spinoza God" like Einstein suscribed too.

      From NYT article:

That image of Einstein the believer has been upended a bit by the newly sold letter, written in 1954 More..

    • That's all cool but I'm not interested in religion. The majority of humanity's great minds have believed in God in 1 way or another.

It's rare for any great thinker to be completely atheist. Mainly because it's illogical to draw the conclusion that there are no supreme beings.

This doesn't mean they're religious, it's just an acknowledgement of our limitations as beings.

Yes. Very illogical. Zeus, Aphrodite, other Greek gods, The Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. You can't say they aren't real. Where's the proof that these supreme beings do not exist?!

  • Controversial: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

Not Controversial: "There is a God. Now start worrying and serve the Church."

  • Why don't you believe in Zeus or Thor, they haven't been disproven yet but you do not believe in them due to lack of evidence.

  • Fair enough - cause of the jab about where everything came from (I thought it funny)...But where did everything come from if not from some higher power (God,Entity) The universe is a very mysterious place indeed with many more questions then answers. But because Athiest believe in nothing why does it concern you that others believe in something? Besides Byron needed a little defending. We can go round and round about what IS or what ISNT, but in the end it should not be lines in the sand. IMO

    • True we cannot 'prove' things do not exist,
including many hundreds of gods, or anything
else anyone can dream up in their imagination.

Existence does have a definition though, and by
definition only something that is tangible and
testable is described as 'existing'. It's called
'empirical reality', how do you prove something
does not exist? The answer is, you do not.
In empirical reality we actually prove things
exist, not the other way around as that would
be totally illogical & a complet More..

  • I'd wager good money that many of the people who like the "No God" signs on the buses would be enraged at a "Global Waring is a Scam" sign on a bus. Everybody gets pissed when their religion is attacked.

  • Atheism:
The belief that there was nothing, and then nothing exploded, creating everything, makes perfect sense to me. morons.

the 10 most underreported stories of 2008 were:

    1. Charges that Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen of the U.S. and thus constitutionally ineligible to serve as president

    2. U.S. Senate committee report that hundreds of top scientists have testified they believe claims of man-caused global warming are fraudulent

  • I'd be impressed if they ran the advertisements separately and specified each religion individually. "No Christianity" "No Islam" "No Judaism" "No Buddhism". Guess which buses would be blown up full of innocent people?

6.For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

    1Peters 4:18

    18. And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
