There were some reports claiming these 4 uniport students were brutally put to death over stolen laptop & phone
But, the real story appears to be as follows:
"There has been several stories regarding some gruesome pictures & footage that emerged on the internet, most of these stories were half baked and this is what truly happened. The name of the victims are : Ugonna, Ilyod, Tekana and Chidiaka and the incident happened in Aluu community, a poor local community that has be ceaselessly tormented by daredevil armed robbers, these robbers kill whenever they find nothing to steal and in a more recent case, they killed a family man and molested his daughter before them. Unable to get help from the government, the community decided to set up a vigilante group to curb the menace" - Nigeria News

A childhood memory from Nigeria, driver dropping us to school about 20 miles away from home... from the express way, traffic got very slow near a junction, we looked out, we saw an aftermath of a similar incident, a man was stuff between a pile of tires and burnt alive... our Nigerian driver told us .... he was a thief ... those images still fresh enough... I would tell my friends for years after the incident...now sharing with you all here...

Nigeria was second home until we moved out .. :( They are good people but such incidents make you feel otherwise...

Anyone can take an ass beating, but once they put that tire over your head, you know you are fucked. It's called Necklacing and its probably one of the more horrific ways to die. If they did what it says they did though, its justice being served. Over here in the United States, if someone robs and murders someone, they get a bunk bed and 3 meals a day at the tax payers expense. I think if we adopted this brutality, we'd see a huge drop in crime. I wouldn't even fart in public.
