Retro TV Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

Broadcast from 1964 to 1968, 4 seasons 110 episodes. Based on the film of the same name. The first of Irwin Allen's famous four sci-fi shows. Early episodes were in black and white, obviously this intro is from a later season.
James Doohan was offered the part of Chief Sharkey in Voyage, instead he chose to take a part as a chief engineer on some other science fiction show called Star Journey, Or Star Trip or something.
This is obviously the influence for the 1990's show Seaquest DSV. A submarine ahead of its time that does underwater research and has a special mission to protect the planet from terrorists and aliens or whatever is thrilling audiences at the time the show is broadcast.

The flying sub doesn't feature often enough in this show.

There are many shows I'd like to upload entire episodes. Unfortunately I can't. Bet you can find a few on youtube though.

Only I am allowed to add episodes to this channel Mr 109. I put that commercial in this episode of Retro TV because the little kid with the dog reminded me of someone I know and made me laugh. Nothing more insidious than that. It's not a conspiracy to get you to eat hotdogs. Which I don't recommend as they have too many nitrates in them.

My fondest memory of this series is the American invention of liquid bombs WAAAYYY before the Mooslims tried it.
I can't remember the exact plot but Admiral Nelson (either brainwashed or replaced by a double) used his 125 mL of toothpaste to try and blow a hole in the front window of the sub.
It only took 40 odd years for the TSA to pick up on this.

Time blurs detail. It was Crane and shaving cream, not Nelson and toothpaste.

Close enough. I figured the title of the episode would be something like that.
