PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A young girl is recovering at home after a frightening dog attack in Northeast Philadelphia.
Natasha Hawkins, 3, was bitten in the face at a home on the 5200 block of Pennway Street at about 9 p.m. Saturday.
A family member said the two Pit Bulls rushed out of a neighbor's yard and jumped on the young girl.
"The doggie bit my face," the preschooler told Eyewitness News.
One of the dogs apparently clamped down on the child's face. She was treated at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and released Sunday.
Family members are now asking for the dogs to be removed. The incident remains under investigation.
