  • well thats an extremely un-flattering view of the american military, the people in the video behaved much more like teenage punks with guns rather than soldiers. Im certainly no expert on the american military's code of conduct, but personally i found that video quite offensive and disappointing.

  • I been there (4 tours in Iraq and three in Afga and more to come) is frustating when you fight with somebody that you cant see, sometimes you have to keep cool and relaxed otherwise you will turn crazy as fuck

  • As a former grunt marine and iraq war veteran i can tell you all that this video is a very accurate portrait of our moral over there. After about a month you become desensitized to the danger and like the guy in the video, you "dont give a fuck". At the first sign of danger we would get tactical in a hurry but the main reason we stayed sane was our senses of humor and the little things that made us laugh.

    • @InqWiper Generally we had to point our guns at all of the cars because you never know which one has a bomb in it and is going to try and blow you up (which happened to me). Most of the training we received before we deployed was on the proper steps toward engaging the enemy in such a situation. I can say without a doubt that every single marine has listened to at least 20-30 presentations and demonstrations on safety procedures before leaving to the hot zone.     • @darkspoon9000 we also received a weekly repeat presentation on rules of engagement and safety. Although i witnessed plenty of guys like this acting dumb, i've never seen a case of accidental injury to the good guys or the bad guys. The few times that it has happened has been covered in depth by the media to the point where the world thinks its daily occurrence.

  • Unfortunately the boring periods means that inappropriate behavior gets filmed and uploaded on live-leak which shows a different side to what goes on. It's this very filming that gets the military a bad reputation but I cannot help being thoroughly entertained by it - some of that shit is funny as fuck but some of it is wrong...
