I don't know why you guys thing this is about religion. Its not and it never was. Maybe in Afghanistan, but anywhere else, its not about religion. It is and always was about influence. Embassies are political buildings. They have a high symbol and they are a target for any nation that wants to destabilize the influence of another nation.
About the Churches, its extremism towards influence justified by "religion". We have this in the US too, don't worry. Look at all the extremist Evangelical groups calling to nuke Iran and bomb Meca and whatever. And the groups that justify any Israeli action at all costs.
Its not as simple as the video suggests. Bush also said God told him to invade Iraq. Is Bush nuts? Yes he is, but he is trying to justify his actions using religion and there are enough religious nuts in this country to believe him.
Last week, a Romanian Church was vandalized in Hungary. By groups to get rid of Romanian influence more than anything else.
Its always about influence and power. Religion was just used to justify. That's why its so corrupt today. The crusades were justified by religion, and Bush seems to try to justify his actions using religion. Same with the Muslims.
