  • Forced relocation has become a problem in Taiwan too these years. Those dirty real state developers are worst than the japs in ww2 in my opinion. The government has tried to regulate the real state industry to no avail (the ban on owning multiple apartments seemingly ended up in nothing), housing prices keep going up and the compensation for relocation are usually terribly low. The real state bubble will explode some day, and those shangjian will get what they deserve.

    • @Manbearpig2012 no so the local corrupt officials and developers can build investment housing that no one can afford while using low interest loans taken from the state coffers. The homes the residents get are often in the middle of no where and are built of foam and plastic and fall apart after 8 years.
