I actually think the Liveleak couch snipers are better trained from watching the history channel than the FSA real snipers who have apparently been in a war zone for almost 2 years.

@daoust Off course Im better trained i played Sniper Elite, BF, Red Orchestra etc.
Even in video game you get bullet if you stick your barrel through hole, everybody see your muzzle flash and dust cloud from shootin.
He shoud shoot from inside the house and shoot only one round.

i know nothing about sniper training but is it not a giveaway to have clouds of cement dust blow out your position to the world when taking rapid shots in that time. Surely a sniper would wet the area, keep muzzle inside, fire once, wait a while take another shot and move onto a new position.

If they were trained snipers or hardcore military simulator gamers they might know that..
Good to add that tidbit to my library, though. I'll be sure to keep an extra bottle for wetting down a firing position if hell ever does truly break loose in this country.

Calling this guy a sniper is insulting to snipers. A sniper never fires from the same position several times. He avoids establishing a pattern or being predictable, & he never ever ever just fires for the sake of firing. One shot one kill, shoot & scoot. THAT'S WHAT A SNIPER IS & DOES

My problem was a different kinda "hole". Unfortunately, I had the same problem. I kept going back to the same hole and trying again. My reward: A shot in the arm.......No, not a 7.62mm shot..... A shot of Penicillin.

That's not a sniper. A sniper does not fire multiple times to give his position away. That is an idiot with a poorly maintained weapon that keep jamming.

So the definition of a sniper (a noun) is the definition of an action (a verb)? No. Just no.
Further, sniper/marksman means something to people familiar with warfare. An idiot Haji hiding in a tree with an old-ass rifle, taking shots at a distant patrol is not a 'sniper'. The term confers some respect to the actual sniper by factoring in his capability.

Not even close to a sniper. A sniper would fire from within the room as to avoid the barrel sticking out of the hole, the dust flying up, and to cover up his movement. It wouldn't be that many shots one after the other either.

Did you see what he was shooting at and where his shots landed?
I agree that a fool with a scope doesn't make a sniper but at least he's using an OK calibre (could be better). It would also be better if he used the sniper/marksman variant of this rifle instead of the 'standard' assault/battle version.
