    I was a Marine in the 90's and flew in both Chinooks and CH-53's.

  • What a dangerous maneuver for the helicopter and its crew! I cannot believe the helicopter actually takes in some water to let the float in. In addition, the helicopter might create an airhole and just drop on top of the water if it hovers for a long time. However, it is a necessary maneuver to conduct extraction for the floats. We must think of another way to do this.
