The well-meaning implication of the vid is that eliminating guns will make everyone smiley-happy, or at least "protect us from ourselves". Britain and Australia prove this is not realistic, since once gun rights are taken away, they are generally gone forever. We will not give up our guns - nothing government or society can do will change the awful truth that self-determination, is generally superior to relying on the graces of others.

An AR-15 is not an assault weapon there is a difference between an AR-15 and an M-16A2,A4(aka M-4) whatever.. assault rifles (M-16A2,A4(aka M-4)) have the ability to fire in 2,3 round bursts or full automatic with one trigger pull. An AR-15 "black rifle" that gets associated with the term assault rifle is really a semiautomatic rifle (it and others in the semi auto club fires 1 round per ea trigger pull) no different than a semi auto pistol Glock. Colt, Ruger, Barretta etc etc

Why do we have gun crime and gun laws? Just look back to National Firearms Act (unconstitutional and illegal law) and what was happening at the time. Hmmmm.
It`s a bit of a tough question, its in the constitution of the U.S "A right to bare arms" (or the right to arm bears) The Japanese during WWII were quoted as saying that they didnt want to invade the U.S because everyone HAD a weapon. That being said, the MAJORITY of people tend to be pretty responsible when it comes to firearms, its the idiots that cause the most problems and spoil it for everyone else. Crime anywhere in the world usually involve weapons of some description and as in Australia when the government took away weapons from the people, the only ones left who had weapons were Security,Police, military, some people who just hid their weapons and of course criminals. To this day weapons are found in criminal hands more and more and the weapons have only become more sophisticated, 9mm (weapon of choice) anything that is stolen from security or police and what is smuggled in to Aus, some A-K`s have been discovered. Yes its sad that we arent allowed to have these weapons, I myself had my secrity licence and my own weapon, but the laws of owning one are so strict it makes it almost impossible to have one. It was one deranged idiot in a place called Tasmania who had a military style weapon (.223) that shot about 30 people that spoiled it for everyone else, it was found out later that he was diagnosed to be unfit for a weapon but they gave him one anyway???. Yes the government could of made the laws a bit more stringent (diagnosed schitzoids and the like not to have a weapons licence) but decided it was safer to take weapons away altogether, so the next time someone feels like killing thier neighbor the only option they have is a knife out of the draw.
