Thats Market Street in Manchester. What the pictures dont show is the signs next to the bollards and the ruddy gret light up signs that accompany them. Anyone who can't read them doesn't deserve to have a car.

Those things are a great idea. That's an effective way of teaching people a lesson about following the rules of the road.
Unfortunately, if we tried this in the US, the drivers would undoubtedly try to sue the city who put the bollards in place.

They put it up on Manchester evening news website today on about how often they crashed into the bollards,just thought i'd bring it back.
Must admit though,i've only ever seen the first crash and not the 2 others.

They tried to tailgate and squeeze through right behind the truck.
Idiots here do the same thing. They try to not pay or not use their access code by tailgating another vehicle.
A crossarm or bollard whacks the car then they cry about it and try to blame the complex or garage that put that thing there.
Most have a camera so when the idiots try to take people to court the court can see exactly what happened just like in this vid.
