Now now, don't get your chow mein in a twist over US military budget.
One thing is for sure - the navy would never come into shore like sitting ducks and those little boats would never get within range.
Numbers didn't always win. How the hell did Germany battle so much in WW2? Superior tech in most situations. Guess who helped USA after WW2 with this sort of stuff..

@El Tizona The Germans attacked Russia with over 2 million troops. By 1944 Germany had 196 divisions or almost 3 million men fighting there. The only reason the Germans held out so long was superior leadership and the qualities of the German soldiers, the Russians were not as good fighters and used some mighty stupid tactics at times, but they never ran out of manpower. This was key. Fighting China would be 10 times worse.

As funny and silly as it seems, the message is very clear.For many years now, the US polititians have been duped by the large arms manufacturers. The military spending is getting out of control. New fancy "toys" do not win wars - This is why Germany did so well (initially) in WW2. The same with the Russian and Chinese armies today. Unfortunately the UK is falling into the same money trap.
