HUGE OWL found in carrizo springs texas
This image has been circulating around the area this past week i don't know if its real or fake but that is one huge owl, it has a very long wingspan, i am not an expert on owl's but i would like to know what species of owl this may be, from the looks of it i cant figure it out to be a Stygian owl the color of the feather's don't match that species. there is was no story behind the capture of the owl.

I see those often driving at night. They like to swoop across the road in the dark and then turn upward to get away from my truck. They end up spread just like that and they are that huge.

@kajidono Nowhere near that big though. It's barn owl. Totally fake. This photo would put that bird among the largest flying birds in the world. Barn owls are small.

What makes me think it is fake is the guy on the right. He is holding onto a single feather, not the actual wing. I highly doubt that single feather would be able to hold the animal up like that. Also the damage to the wing on the right is strange. All the feathers are attached to the wing. Why are some parts of feathers simply just hanging in space, not attached?
