Just to be fair about this it is currently approved with bipartisan support with those that have come out for it, and equally disapproved with bipartisan numbers. First, your title is a misstated point altogether. The vast majority of Democratic politicians are stone-cold AGAINST SOPA whereas all but about 6 of the Republicans oppose it.
Next, this guy is not sitting in a chair with all four feet on the floor...so take his perspective with a grain of salt.
Then, gun control (or a lack thereof) has nothing to do with SOPA and doesn't have any tangible links that show how that kind of censorship would spread to gun rights.

This "freedom" to 'open carry' as if we were living in the Wild West is nonsense. I'd feel very uneasy about people sporting guns of all manner at some heated political event. The weapon is a form of intimidation and thus denies me my freedom to freely debate opening in a political forum.
