The Southerm white rhinoceros is the largest of the 5 existing species
of rhinoceros. It is the only one that feeds in grasslands, the others
browse on leaves and bark of trees and shrubs. The mouth of the Southern
white rhinoceros is adapted to grazing; it does not have incisor teeth
and its upper lip is broad and straight. This species’ sense of haring
and smell are good, but it has bad eyesight, being unable to distinguish
a human farther than 30m.
