A mother and a son were trying to escape from three robbers when they were carrying approximately 100,000,000 Riels (30,000 US dollars) on their bike. The mother and the son ran into the crowded market expecting that the robbers would not chase further. But the robbers followed them and grabbed the money package and walked out of the market. The mother followed one of the robber to get her money back. During the scuffle, two robbers shot her to death. She was shot three times, one in the stomach, another in the neck, and the last one in the head.
