Proud and Prejudiced is the story of two of the most controversial men in Britain.
Tommy Robinson, a tanning salon manager, is the leader of the English Defence League, the biggest far-right street protest movement for a generation.
Sayful Islam, a former tax inspector, heads a small group of Muslim extremists, who have become notorious for abusing British soldiers and burning poppies on Remembrance Day.
Both men enjoy a cult-like status with loyal followers, both are specialists in making highly inflammatory speeches and defying the authorities, and both are from the same town: Luton.
Caught in the middle is Sarah Allen, the leader of Luton Borough Council's 'Luton in Harmony' initiative, the official fight back against the town's reputation as a hotbed of extremism.
Filmed over the course of a year, this is an intimate portrait of the two men and how a dangerous local feud has become an alarming national drama.

Since when is opposing Islam extremism? I think the EDL are quite mild in their toleration of a bunch of Islamic barbarians who would destroy everything that makes a free society free. @skerne - I'm only going off what I read when I first heard of the EDL. I honestly thought it was a group created to promote English values and traditions, born out of situations like householders being told to take down the English flag flown from their house. I have no interest in the NF/BNP, their agendas or the people in it, hence not knowing who was or is behind the EDL. Like I said, I thought they set out with good intentions.

Resisting an invasion of your homeland isn't anything but the exactly right thing to do. I hate to see this happening anywhere in the world.
Voters in all democracies need to demand that immigration policies be transparent for all citizens to see. We need to continue to make immigration a public issue - one that can make or break a politician's career. Maybe most importantly, citizens need to run for office themselves to change immigration policy.

I, for one, support the EDL. Even though I'm in America. Extremist muslims are a threat to democracy world wide.
