This is in my town in NSW Australia. I take my son out there to see the roos as they roam free & are very friendly. It's like a sanctuary for them. There are literally 100's of them at this location.
As a local I still don't think I would get up this close to the big males. You are one brave guy!! :-)

@Airedale Yeah, don't know where I read or saw that. Steve Erwin maybe. Bears do the same thing. I remember reading about a mentally confused drunk guy who thought his karate was something special. Jumped in to the bear habitat at the zoo and kicked a grizzly in the balls from behind. Bears attack eachothers' testicles, to fight for females, so... It ate him basically.
Chimps do the same thing. They don't really give you the gory details every time there's an attack, but they'll bite your hands More..

to be honest the gent in the vid was very lucky , look for when the other smaller female comes over , the ridge of fur on the back between the shoulder of the big roo , the heckles are in lines and way up , the roo is upset and may kick or strike or bite , if you see that put food on the ground and move away , but the other roo left and the big one settled down again

I got a bit of a touch up once buy a wallaby that might have been about 3 ft tall. A few scratches, not too much damage. I did notice though that they have a shitload of power. No way in hell would I be going anywhere near a roo this size. If if decides it doesnt like you, it could be very, very fuckin painful. And the fuckers bite! Yeah, I dont care how big n tough you think you are, a pissed off roo will make you his bitch!
