Sorry to see your property so devastated. After seeing another video of your garage underwater I hope you make it out without too much financial loss.

I elevated most stuff 4 feet, so not too bad. It's just part of living here; I take it as it comes...

@RickBond You need one of those whirly-gigs they have on yachts and such to power their radios and sat-navs.

All that hard garden work ruined courtesy of Issac. I hope it all works out for you when the storm subsides Rick...

Nah, I don't feel that way at all. Well, maybe a little... I was really happy with what I was able to get out of the garden, and planting it was as enjoyable as harvesting it. There's always next year...

Life is pretty ironic. Katrina was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Although to this day my house is STILL getting fixed from Katrina, it brought a lot of stuff to a head. This inconvenience named Isaac is just part of living where I love to be. Tomorrow I'll begin clean-up and that will just take a day or two.

If that water drains soon they may survive.
I suppose you are not near the canal gates that are having trouble or you would have mentioned it.

I heard something about that, but I don't think it's a factor where I am. (I got tired of watching the news - maybe I need to LOL)

You have become our on-scene storm reporter, Rick. I'm glad you guys seem to be getting along OK. I hope the water stays down below the house. Take care.

The jalapenos just might make it. I'm watering them often to flush out the salt water. We got a lot out of the garden, including during the storm, so it wasn't as bad as I had just planted it. I posted this video more for the comedy than anything
