Syria - SAA Brig. General Issam Zahreddin calls upon the death of all the Sunnis (22/10/12)

The Brigadier General Issam Zahreddin is well known in the Syrian Assad Army.
In this leaked footage he can be seen shouting repeatedly: "We welcome the death for you Bashar, We will kill all the Sunnis" Also at 01:50 they shout they are Assad's Shabiha.

This is much proof that the SAA is nothing but a sectarian army mainly consisting of Alawites, since any sunni in that army would not tolerate such sectarian statements made in the video.

What is the response of the Assad loyalists here who say the SAA protects the various sects and minorities, whereas here we see them openly declaring to slaughter the Sunnis. Please comment.

  • This video seems to me biased and manipulative. The majority of Syrian Arab Army are Sunnite and they call slaughter for Sunnite? And in Damascus where the sunnites are dominant? It must be the fiction of Ugarit news which is pro-FSA channel. It seems to me that the video which is claimed that showing the "Alawites bury a Sunnite dissident alive"

      It was the government security forces who started this war by killing innocenet protestors for over the course of a couple of weeks during the early stages of the uprising.

      Majority of fighters in Syria are Syrian. Less than 5% constitute foreign fighters.

      Sunnis are a majority in Syria. Alawites are a minority who rule with an iron fist through Assad and his security aparatus.

      It's remarkable that the only 'evidence' he was killed is an identically worded sentence on a tiny number of Jihadi sites on or shortly after the alleged date.

      A General in the republican guard being killed is BIG news. Not one media outlet has reported this.

If this claim was accurate then how Assad is still in power and prefers to live in Damascus, not in Latakia or Tartus? The richest part of the Syria are Sunnite like Aleppo and Damascus.     The little I do know of Arabic is that the literal text usually requires knowledge of context and dialect to discern the real meaning - which I'm sure Moshe is keen to exploit.

    I'm guessing in this context Sunni would refer solely to jihadis
