The tiny mouse screams were pretty horrifying.

It's cool to hear the "algorithm" behind how it works - two detections within twenty seconds. Good simple way to filter out noise. As a programmer I find that kind of stuff fascinating.

@jdp
it has to have a good mechanism for prevention of false detections, because the process of closing and opening is very strenuous on the plant.

Who cleans out the dead fly? Are there Mexican flies that clean out all of the traps on the weekends?

I had a few of these when I was younger they're pretty cool. I use to feed it flies, crickets, and small frogs.

@1xx what did you do with the remainings that the plant didn't eat up?

@SSlayer
If the remains didn't fall out when the leaves reopened then I would get some tweezers and carefully pluck them out while trying not to trigger the trap again.

@1xx Just leave them in there, it's cool to see plus if they are out in the open rain drops will clear them out.

@Tommyr
Sometimes I did leave them in there. I live in the desert so I kept mine inside. little too hot and dry for outside. I made that mistake with one of my first ones "I was just a kid at the time" I thought it needed more Sun and ended up microwaving it.
