...and the Canadians won......the Sledgehockey game 2:1
Regelmässig finden auch Weltmeisterschaften statt. Zuletzt 2008 in Marlborough (USA). Und wie im richtigen Eishockey führt der Weg zum Titel meist über Kanada.
Entsprechend gross ist die Rivalität zwischen Kanada und den USA. Jüngst fand in Vancouver der Hockey Canada Cup statt, den die Kanadier am letzten Sonntag im Final gegen die Amerikaner im Penaltyschiessen für sich entschieden. Doch noch mehr in Erinnerung wird das Vorbereitungsspiel der beiden Teams bleiben. Als der Amerikaner Taylor Chace mehr oder weniger ungebremst in den kanadischen Goalie Paul Rosen fuhr, verteidigten die Kanadier ihren Keeper. Als erster war Kanadas Captain Jean Labonte zur Stelle, und alsbald waren alle Spieler in den Tumult involviert. Die Kanadier gewannen übrigens 2:1. Also das Spiel, nicht die Schlägerei.

It's ice sledge hockey('sled' in U.S), not 'cripple hockey'. It was invented in the 60's in Sweden for physical rehabilitation purposes and I bet some of these guys are mentally and physically stronger, more intelligent and have more discipline and are harder workers than most of able bodied hockey players.
Try playing the game and playing for your country and see how worked up you get. If there More..
