Vijlen (Limburgs: Viele) is een dorpje met ruim 1500 inwoners (peiljaar
2005) in Zuid-Limburg, behorend tot de gemeente Vaals. Vijlen ligt op
ongeveer 200 meter hoogte boven NAP en is daarmee het hoogst gelegen
dorp van Nederland. Verder heeft Vijlen, gerekend vanaf NAP, ook de
hoogste kerktoren. De top van deze toren ligt op 242 m boven NAP.

Vijlen (Limburgish: Viele) is a village with over 1500 inhabitants (year level

2005) in South-Limburg, belonging to the municipality of Vaals. Vijlen is on

about 200 meters height above sea level and is the highest

village of Netherlands. Furthermore, Vijlen, counted from NAP, also the

highest church tower. The top of this tower is located at 242 metres above sealevel.
