  • It's a SuperDARN radar site. The adjacent site with dishes is the CNES Earth Station which is used for space tracking and telemetry.

"The Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) is an international collaborative network of HF radars that monitors ionospheric plasma convection over the majority of the northern and southern polar regions. SuperDARN currently is comprised of 9 radars in the northern hemisphere and 5 radars in the southern hemisphere"

  • Move along, nothing to see here, they are just clothes lines.

  • Aside from not actually being in "Antarctica", this looks to me like a fairly typical HF antenna farm - possibly OTR (Over the horizon radar) or just a bog standard long range communications system.

    HAARP - I think not.

Looking in google earth and reading wiki, it might also be some kind of former tracking or research system, given the lack of utilities it might only be used now as a backup comms path.

  • No way, they're just tent posts for the penguin army the French are training.

  • Those are SuperDARN Radars (Auroral International Radar Network) in the Kerguelen Island, a French overseas territory.

    More info here : http://www.institut-polaire.fr/ipev/bases_et_navires/base_de_port_aux_francais_archipel_de_kerguelen/installations_et_equipements

I do not see anything wrong or suspicious whit it.

  • Why can't anyone seem to detect energy from HAARP? You would then be able to make a correlation between HAARP and an "event".

    Posted Jun-15-2011 By

    • @buttkracken Probably because the energy is directed straight up and only limited to a small area? I read about HAARP years ago. It's not a secret what they are doing.

    • @flashj2 If you look at the expenditures and effort spent on this project, how could anyone claim that HAARP is just a little experiment. It's massive and worldwide. Thats well beyond the experimental stage.

    • @buttkracken OK, just because the military is involved or large amounts of money doesn't make it "massive and worldwide"..That's ominious and you're implying nefarious purposes without a shred of scientific backing. Most that are involved with HAARP are civilian scientist and nothing "evil" or whatever the current "conspiracy theory" flavor of the day has any proof to back it up.. I'll look more into it, as I said earlier..It's been years since I followed the " More..

    • @flashj2- so the site tracts movements in space?

    • @flashj2 Your right. HAARP antenna look like something from Radio Shack. This looks like something from Dish Network probably sending out Justin Bieber videos, which is also nefarious.
