As part of a series of joint drills last summer, US Marines trained at the Mitkan Adam base, under the guidance of the IDF Counter-terrorism School, the unit responsible for training IDF forces in counter-terrorism tactics and measures. The drills were the largest US-Israeli infantry exercise to date.
