That was basically Whoopi's message on The View today, and I have to say I wasn't surprised. The moral equivalency is deafening, and I can't believe Whoopi is defending ACORN on this. This is the first time that I'm aware of that The View has even addressed ACORN.
Would Whoppi feel the same if it would have been a black film-maker duo who exposed white ACORN workers telling them how to get away with the sex slave trade? I could ask the question, but unfortunately I know the answer - it's not "the same." Apparently any group who gets government funding to help the "disenfranchised" is okay, as long as they're serving the black community. And since when, Whoopi, is feeding poor people akin to assisting in the setup of an illegal child sex-trade operation?
The hypocrisy is astouding. Where is Elisabeth when we need her?
