BONN, Oct 8 (APP): The Deutsche Welle Akademie has officially opened its doors to welcome their fourth consecutive batch of 29 promising media professionals from 23 countries, including two from Pakistan, selected to pursue their two-year master’s degree programme in International Media Studies (IMS).This programme is offered by the Deutsche Welle Akademie in collaboration with the University of Bonn and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.The degree programme is composed to train students to become competent journalists and prepare them for the challenging media industry. In doing so, it not only gives the students the theoretical background but also practical training in the actual media environment.At the welcome ceremony, DW Akademie Diector, Gerda Meuer, congratulated all the prestigious scholarship recipients, who were selected out of 700 applications worldwide.She emphasized the importance of skilled media professionals in the contemporary media.
