America's war in Afghanistan: murdered civilians, mistreated veterans
Part of channel(s): Afghanistan (current event)

The longer this misguided occupation continues, the greater the human toll – on all sides – accrues.

We may never know what drove a US Army staff sergeant to head out
into the Afghan night and allegedly murder at least 16 civilians in
their homes, among them nine children and three women. The massacre near
Belambai, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, has shocked the world and intensified the calls for an end

  • Humans were not bred to destroy and kill, we are born to live in harmony amongst another and breed.

This explains many PTSD cases, you can try to create a soldier/killer, but you can never destroy a persons, "conscious". At the end of the day, the internal struggle of these men come out in cases like this.

  • Well, it's all coming to an end soon. A very expensive & embarrassing fuck up for the US. I hope they will learn from it.
One good thing is, I remember several years ago, when if you posted an item on here about Afghan the comments would be coming thick and fast from all the arm chair pro war idiots attempting to justify the slaughter. Even those fools have now realised it was all a waste of time and lives.....

  • The only way to win in Afghanistan (for anyone, not just US) is to kill every man, woman and child inside of its borders and re-populate with your own people.

Since we are not Romans or Nazis, lets just GTFO.

  • Jesus Christ, you ignorant cunts love to blow shit out of proportion. The Taliban have either killed or injured 5,000 civilians. Cut the stupid copy and paste shit and actually do some of your own research! One grunt goes crazy and you all act like this happens all the time.

  • I guess the moral of the story is don't fly jumbo jets into American buildings. And furthermore, don't bitch about us going into countries where said attack originated and kicking the fuck out of those responsible. Last I checked, we were nowhere near Afghanistan on the morning of September 11, 2001. Two weeks later, not so much.

    • @AfganMountaneer

Depends what your interpretation of "lost" is..

Depends what America's objectives/motivations actually were going in there.

It sure as hell wasn't humanitarian and it sure as Hell wasn't to eliminate Al'Quida....

      Soo What was their objective?
Did they obtain what they went for?

      Oil/natural resources/lithium/opium... what was it?

Now - did they actually "lose?"... considering they could flatten Afghanistan down to NOTHING in 6 minutes?
