Female driver from my work was departing our buildings parking garage located in downtown Sacramento on 8/1/12 at 7:35pm. She stopped her vehicle a tad bit short of the exit card reader as seen in the video. She then attempted to lean out of the car and swipe her access card to exit the parking garage but sadly realized that she was too far away to reach the card reader. Next, while still leaning out of the car and slowly releasing the brake in order to pull up next to the card reader, all of a sudden her foot magically slipped off of the brake and onto the gas pedal (Keep a close eye on the barrier arm) resulting in a Dukes of Hazzard style launch THROUGH the roll up gate! She pulled over immediately after exiting the garage while out of camera view, got out of the car and yelled "OH MY GOD, MY FUCKING CAR!" says an eye witness who works at the bail bonds place right across the street. He then said to the female... "What about the gate?" The female driver was still shaken up from the incident the following day. Damages to the gate were roughly $8,000 and her insurance paid for it.
