This part shows fascinating interviews with several men who served during world war 2 among Von Manstein's staff officers and enlisted men. The video covers Von Manstein's significant role in many historical events of world war 2, particularly on the Eastern front, and includes Von Manstein's knowledge of the activities of the infamous Einstazgruppen, siege and triumph at Sebastapol in the Crimea in 1942, and the failed operation to relieve the 6th Army at Stalingrad, "Operation Winter Gale" in the winter of 1942-43.
