Just make sure I get back the "BENEFITS" the government "BORROWED" from my SS account. Oh, and why aren't WE ALL on the same SS program? I would have loved to get a Senators or Congressmans retirement deal. Do they pay more for that deal?

The Scandinavian countries are the most socialist and they are doing just fine. Greece, Italy and Portugal are not failing due to socialist ideas - they have large deficits (just like USA) because of poor governance (just like USA). Saying the problem is "socialism" is political - and buying that idea allows your politicians to duck the responsibility to become better fiscal managers.
