  • This man sounds intelligent and IMO is just another poor fellow who slipped through the cracks with an undiagnosed mental condition. Even if he had a job, he may come right back to this same spot because this is where he feels safe. I too suffer from PTSD and almost abandoned the world to go live on a boat so I didn't have to interact with other people, feel emotion, or care about anything. Thankfully my family and people who cared stepped in, took control and slowly brought me back into reality More..

      Grazie, amigo mio. PTSD is not always related to combat and affects the part of your brain that allows you to forgive and move forward. Divorce, death, etc. can trigger PTSD some time later down the road if you don't deal with it from the inception. My advice is to do things that make you happy and make a conscious effort to tell yourself 'This makes me happy'. Before you know it, things don't seem so bad anymore. People need companionship and interaction with others to grown and flo More..
