Robber with toy gun takes cash and hundreds of lotto scratch-off tickets

It didn't take long for Haltom City police to catch the suspected robber of Doc's Food Store yesterday morning.

A man entered the store and robbed the two employees at gunpoint.

In the security video, the man can be seen taking cash from the register, and then he started pulling out lotto scratch-off tickets.

He pulled so many tickets he couldn't hold them all and had to reach down to pick them up off the floor.

Unfortunately his pants didn't stay up well when he bent over.

After taking scratch-offs the robber stole two packs of cigarettes and demanded the two employees inside the store hand over their wallets.

When the robber left, the employees called police. When officers arrived they saw three people driving away from the store.

Officers gave chase when the driver sped up and drove the wrong way down state Highway 121 access road.

Officers caught up with the suspects after the driver lost control of the car.

All of the money, scratch-offs and cigarettes were recovered as well as the toy handgun used during the robbery.
