On the 29th of June, the Occupy Caravan, the Anarchist Allinace-DC Network and Occupy DC unfurled a massive
banner to block the doors of Bank of America on 15th st.
Nobody was arrested as police made a futile attempt to wait out Occupy
on a 100 degree day. The banner stayed in place fore two and a half
hours. The only concession to the cops was moving the banner far enough
out from the building that pedestrians could pass behind it and the
window washers work, but very few customers would approach the bank
under these conditions, and the bank was late to open.
Since Bank of America has foreclosed on so many people’s homes after
using the “too big to fail” excuse to get a tax-funded bailout, why
can’t the people foreclose on Bank of America? If you have money there,
close your account and put your money in a local bank or credit union.
