Oh, that's a polish choppa. I remember this video from the news, long time ago. There were 5 people on board, no one was hurt, alleged cause of this accident was strong side wind.

If I remember correctly this happened in 2011. It was a Polish bird and had a mechanical failure and was trying to make it back to base.

That's the thing with helicopters. -Highly complicated machines.
Anything goes wrong and you've got very limited options. You flying machine suddenly becomes an out of control rock.
They require huge amounts of maiteance just to make sure things are always working.. I'd rather have a hot air balloon!

@TheRealVisionary if your lucky to be in a KA-50 you have ejection, anything else, your in a flying brick.
lose your tail you go into a high G spin, turn to hard break the drive and well shake and bake, and of course if your cought in a vortex you have no lift and drop like a stone, i rather fly fixed wing then be stuck in those death traps

Flames goes from fuel tank but not from mi24.
The reason was (I don't know how 2say it in English "downdraught" ??) the wind, which was going down and blow Mi 24 from a sky.
