Fun with Tannerite! (Third and final attempt)

We were plinking around with the .45s and ARs, and testing out some new hand loads when we found a couple 1/2 lb. containers of tannerite under the seat.
The first one we lit off was rather underwhelming, but the second was placed under an old chunk of 1/4"plate steel (seen in attached picture) on top of a 3/4" base plate which we had leveled. Keep in mind that this was a SINGLE 1/2 lb container! As you can see it shot the plate up 150-175ft (perhaps higher) and landed pretty close to where it lifted off. I hadn't expected it to go that high, so I lost it in the frame for a second!
Anyway, we're working up some new loads and will be back at the range soon. So, more to come!
