Nice synopsis but false.
The two cats were clearly about to have a big stouche. The crow - or whatever bird it was - was having a go at both of them.
There are other videos out there and on LL where the bird sides with one of the cats. That's not unbeleivable. Cats and Crows/Corvidae get to know each other on the local territory and both will attack invaders.
