Bus Driver Manages to Stop Bus After Being Struck by Flying Sheet of Iron
The bus was driving on the Xiyi Freeway from Hangzhou on the morning of May 29th when a piece of iron smashed through the windshield and hit the 48-year old driver. Despite suffering liver lacerations, multiple rib fractures and contusions to the lungs and intestines the driver managed to pull the bus to the side of the road and stop it safely before collapsing. Sadly, the driver later died in the hospital from his injuries.

They heard a crash, some of them would have seen the shattered glass, and they knew the bus was stopping. What caused it would not be immediately clear.
It pays never to underestimate how slowly people may think. By the time the video ended, it was probably just dawning on a few of the nearer passengers.

Its obviously a cultural issue because the Asian Aussies I know (those born and raised here) are as Australian as the next man...
